Stitchin’ Time Please join us for a little time for YOU! Bring your sewing project and relax and visit with other quilters. This is your time to start your holiday projects or maybe finish that baby quilt you started many months ago. You know the phrase “so little time, so much to do” If you are working on the BERNINA BOM or any of our other classes, this is your opportunity to get a little extra help. Sample Sale The QuiltBasket has been doing the Sample Sale for years. There is no special date although it is usually around Christmas. We have it just “When Ever”. This is the staff’s opportunity to put their quilts and other sewing projects for sale. Many are the samples we display in the store that are no longer used; others are sewing projects they make just because they like them. Cash only and all sales are final. Pincushion Party! Helen • Beginners Welcome The “party girls” had such a blast last year that Helen is back with more cute and clever pincushions. All the machine sewing has been done for you – all you have to do is some hand sewing and gathering, turning, and stuffing and embellishing. Knit Essentials Kathy P Using Allison Glass’ Sew Knit Essentials, and your serger, we will learn how to create a knit shirt that is unique to you. With the Knit Essentials pattern there are so many possibilities. Our first class will be creating a pattern and then using that pattern to cut out the fabric. English Paper Piecing Cindy • Beginners Welcome One of the biggest rage in the quilting industry is English Paper Piecing. It was very popular many years ago and it has come around again. A wonderful and easy technique to learn with Cindy’s help. Paper piecing is a technique you can do while watching TV, sitting in the waiting room, attending sports activities, etc. Make a quilt or a craft project, there are so many patterns available. Beautiful Binding Helen • Beginners Welcome Achieve smooth bindings with perfect corners and learn a great method for joining the ends. Practice sewing angled and scalloped edges and try new “gourmet” bindings, such as two-color and faux piping. You’ll build a useful sample book of bindings that you can refer to again and again.
