Knit Essentials Kathy P Using Allison Glass’ Sew Knit Essentials, and your serger, we will learn how to create a knit shirt that is unique to you. With the Knit Essentials pattern there are so many possibilities. Our first class will be creating a pattern and then using that pattern to cut out the fabric. Machine Appliqué Nubin • Beginners Welcome I love quilts that have applique, but with a busy schedule the only way I can get those lovely patterns done, is to do the applique by machine. If our sewing machine can do a small zig zag stitch, then you are all set! This is a simple applique technique class that uses dissolving paper and kids washable school glue. There will be a kit provided for $10 a pattern and all the items needed to learn this awesome technique. You provide your fabrics and threads. See the supply list for more details. $40.00

The Art of Hand Appliqué Helen • Beginners Welcome Elegant tulips are the perfect design for learning all the tips and techniques of beautiful needle–turn applique. You’ll learn easy stem, perfect points, and smooth curves. The fabrics, needle, threads, and pins are included in the kit; you’ll just need a fat quarter for background. Strings of colorful paper lanterns hang overhead making us feel as if we are celebrating Chinese New Year. Using the Large Square Squared tool you will make 4 shapes that with color placement will pop your quilt with an inter locking design. As you construct each unit you will become a pro at using the Square Squared tool and making square in a square block units – with precise points. Delightful Desert Nubin Delightful Desert Cutting and Prepping Class Wow! I really love Elizabeth Hartman’s new pieced pattern “Delightful Desert”. There is no applique in this quilt, it is all pieced. We will spend the day cutting, labeling and organizing each block. English Paper Piecing Cindy • Beginners Welcome One of the biggest rages in the quilting industry is English Paper Piecing. It was very popular many years ago and it has come around again. A wonderful and easy technique to learn with Cindy’s help. Paper piecing is a technique you can do while watching TV, sitting in the waiting room, attending sports activities, etc. Make a quilt or a craft project, there are so many patterns available. Cindy will teach you the basic steps to English Paper Piecing. $15.00

Beautiful Binding Helen • Beginners Welcome Achieve smooth bindings with perfect corners and learn a great method for joining the ends.
