Have fun putting together this uniquely Arizona quilt, designed just for this class called “Old Pueblo Stories.” Cathy will show you how she does machine appliqué that looks amazingly like hand appliqué and other tips and tricks to help you ﬁnish this quilt in your lifetime! With her love of Tucson and Arizona, Cathy will also share interesting facts and tidbits about our history and unique lifestyle from Arizona’s territorial past! Registration: $35.00

Not only will you have useful projects to organize your home, work space, and car, but you’ll learn useful skills and techniques to increase your sewing skill repertoire.
Learn how to make bias binding, create zippers of any length by adding zipper pulls to zipper tape, cover strapping with fabric to co-ordinate with your projects, sew with vinyl, make mesh pockets, and so much more!

9:30–12:30 or 6–9 pm Folk-Tail Wool Quilt Lorraine • Beginners Welcome Participants will appliqué and embroider their way across the African savannah using colorful wool, velvet and cotton fabrics to create a 38” x 44” quilt alive with native animals. With Sue Spargo’s Folk-Tails, students will learn the techniques to create three 6 ½” x 6 ½” wool appliqué blocks each month. Students will enjoy embellishing their blocks with a variety of threads and materials using over 30 stitches. The blocks can be machine or hand-pieced together but the wool appliqué and embroidery will be completed by hand. Wool lovers of all skill levels are welcome! There will be a total of 12 sessions. $50.00 4 sessions 2 ½ hours
