Saturday, December 2       9:30–11 Applique Day “Bountiful Baskets” Helen Women of yesteryear used baskets for all their everyday chores: for gathering eggs from the chicken coop or flowers from the garden or clothes from the line. A basket accompanied them to market; another was by their chair as they stitched. Each basket had a different style and shape based on its function. Each block of this year’s quilt will feature a different basket surrounded by or filled with the things that make that basket unique. Helen has designed nine patterns that are perfect for either hand or machine applique. You will purchase the background fabric of your choice. Pick up your rules and instructions to Applique Day with your Block 1 Kit. Join us as we celebrate baskets this year! Registration: $25.00 Kit Fee: $6/month Sat, Sept 16, Oct 21, Nov18
