Yorkshire Button Workshop
Learn how to make Yorkshire Buttons using a Thread Wheel Loom. If you love wool and three-dimensional textile embellishment, this class is for you. A portable craft that will add a lot of pizazz to fabric, wool, and multimedia textile projects. The wool and textile artist, Sue Spargo, uses this technique to create flowers, sea anemones, and other organic thread sculptures to add interest to her heavily embroidered wool wall hangings and quilts. If you are attending Sue Spargo's Tanque Verde Guest Ranch seminar, "Cacti in Terra Cotta Pots", you will be able to add your Yorkshire buttons to your project. Students can bring their own thread and size 16 tapestry needle but will be required to purchase the template.

Beautiful Bindings
Learn all the tricks and techniques for great bindings by working on small pre-quilted samples. Everything is already cut and prepared; just come and sew! Note: To sew a binding to an actual quilt, you would use a walking foot but for these samples, a 1/4ʺ foot or regular foot is fine. Compile the practice pieces in a binder to create a resource that you will refer to again and again!
Kit fee: $15.00 (includes all pre-quilted sample pieces, bindings, handouts, page protectors, and special tools), to be paid in class to the instructor (The Quilt Basket does not collect this fee).

The “seven day cancellation” includes all free classes that require pre–registration. We do require pre–registration on some of our free classes; an example is our mastery class and Embroidery Club. The pre–registration helps the instructor prepare for the class. The Sewing Room policy on mastery class is; your scheduled mastery class continues whether there is one or five in the class, you do not have to worry about cancellation due to the number of students in the class.
Refundable cancellation policy
Classes that ask for a refundable deposit must be in cash or check. To receive your refund you must attend the class or cancel 7 days prior to the class, e.g. a Saturday class must be cancelled by Saturday.
