Embroidery Club
Bring your embroidery machine and join us as we embroider Holiday Celebrations. September will be a card, October will be an ornament, and November will be a Christmas Embroidery that you can use to decorate a tote if you’d like. We will be using OEDS’s Holiday Collections that you can receive free each month when you purchase $59 OESD products during the release month. We have limited collections available for free, so check them out and purchase early in the month. With Embroidery club you will receive the design for the project done in the class.

Free Motion Quilting

You’ll learn the basics of free motion quilting and how batting, thread and needles affect the outcome. And you’ll go home with a great sample to be proud of!

Beginning Free Motion Quilting with Rulers and BSR

Love to Free Motion Quilt and want to incorporate the BERNINA Stitch Regulator into your quilting? Do you want to learn more about how to use all those fabulous quilting rulers you have stashed away for just the right quilt? Join us to learn the ins and outs of the BSR and how to utilize it to its fullest potential. You’ll fall in love with it for sure! In this class you’ll also learn how to navigate quilting your quilt with those great rulers we seem to always collect, but never use.

Advanced Free Motion Quilting with Rulers and BSR

Must have taken beginning Ruler work and BSR first.
Have you mastered your rulers or BSR? Do you now want to take it even further? Join us for an advanced class using your BSR and or Rulers! Let’s learn how to create some great designs while quilting a table runner you will make prior to class (instructions for the runner will be included in the supply list). Kathy will supply the rulers to play with in class. BSR is required.

Sopapillas

Sopapillas is a fun, scrappy Quilt as You Go project that you’ll love making!
In this class you’ll learn how to cut, sew, stuff, quilt and join each of the little Sopapilla squares to create a quilt in whatever size you wish.
The process looks complicated but prepare to be amazed how simple it is! We’ll have a few hours to learn the entire process.
This Quilt as You Go project can easily be taken with you on the plane, train, or automobile. To keep your hands busy while you bask in the pool.

Wooly Women and Men “Sit, Stitch, and Inspire”
Lorraine • Beginners Welcome
Join like–minded wooly – creative types as we spend time together stitching on our own wool applique projects. The instructor will coach and teach participants as needed and encourage then as they bring their wool quilts and projects to life. We come together in fellowship to learn and inspire each other in the hope we can get something done.

Heart to Hand “Glorious Bowl Fillers“

Perfect class for wooly beginners and great fun for experience wool workers too! Spend a few hours transferring patterns of your choice. Students will cut the wool, applique the wool shapes and embroider simple stitches to embellish their work during the class. Visit the Quilt Basket to see the class samples. Determined students will likely finish their project in class.

Show and Tell Party
All are invited to our yearly show and tell party! Bring any project or quilt you have made this past year from a class, BOM, kit, or with our fabric. We all enjoy celebrating your creativity and completed (or almost done) projects! Snacks and gifts for all.

Class Policies
HOW TO REGISTER FOR CLASSES
You may pre–register for classes either at the shop or by mail. Phone registration may be made with either Visa or MasterCard. If you would like us to mail your receipt and supply list, include a self– addressed stamped envelope.
Seven day cancellation policy
Many of our clubs and classes have a class fee or they are free if you have purchased your sewing machine or software from us. All our classes require you to cancel seven day prior to your class for a refund. For example, if your class is on a Saturday, you must cancel by the previous Saturday. The “seven day cancellation” includes all free classes that require pre–registration. We do require pre–registration on some of our free classes; an example is our mastery class and Embroidery Club. The pre–registration helps the instructor prepare for the class. The Sewing Room policy on mastery class is; your scheduled mastery class continues whether there is one or five in the class, you do not have to worry about cancellation due to the number of students in the class.
Refundable cancellation policy
Classes that ask for a refundable deposit must be in cash or check. To receive your refund you must attend the class or cancel 7 days prior to the class, e.g. a Saturday class must be cancelled by Saturday.
